Cumberland Valley Equine Service (CVES) is a veterinary practice limited to equine medicine and surgery. It is owned and operated by Robert H. Kraybill, D.V.M., and located in Carlisle, Pennsylvania.
CVES can provide veterinary care at your farm or at our barn/clinic. Most common medical and surgical services are available. CVES is well equipped to handle most of your diagnostic imaging needs with the recent additions/upgrades of digital radiography and sonography. Referrals to local university veterinary school hospitals (Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine/Marion duPont Scott Equine Medical Center at Leesburg, or University of Pennsylvania/New Bolton Center) for major surgery and other profound medical needs are made without hesitation on a case-by-case basis.
Dr. Kraybill is a 1985 graduate of the New York State College of Veterinary Medicine at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. He spent five years in general mixed practice in Pennsylvania and Maryland before limiting his practice to equine work. He then spent three years in Thoroughbred racetrack practice at Maryland's tracks, then five years in general equine practice in northern Maryland before returning to south central Pennsylvania in 1998.
